I had suggested the Fantasic Four earlier, but I'm having my doubts.

brother power the geek and the dazzler could beat them up. with a little help from Moon Knight and Billy Batson.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

any, The Darkness don't strike me as particularly tough and are sorely lacking in eerie powers despite what their videos may suggest. next.

dleone (dleone), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

You all have a shocking lack of confidence in The Darkness. That's fine, but just don't come crying to The Darkness when they're all that stands between you and an evil overlord of some sort!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

cheech wizard and doper dan would slay them.

Lulu. Captain Britain.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Since someone mentioned Gil Thorpe, can we just switch it to "comic book hero" or "comic strip hero?" I'd like to see them kick Cathy's ass, or Jon from Garfield.

billstevejim, Tuesday, 17 February 2004 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

They might just about be able to take out the Power Pack but it'd be a hella close call.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Jimmy Corrigan would bring out the crippling sadness and bitterness inherent in the Darkness in a split second, and then then maybe they'll FUCKING GIVE UP!

radio morocco (radio morocco), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I think they could take Quarterflash ...

Jon Williams (ex machina), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 23:36 (twenty-two years ago)

They should challenge Batman and Robin to a "Loser Has to Stop Wearing Skin-tight Pants" battle. The Darkness have the numbers advantage, B&R have the gadget advantage but this will be neutralized when the items from the Batbelt get caught in the hair of one or more Darkness members. Then the remaining untangled members will finish B&R off.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Sooty and Sweep

Nom De Plume (Nom De Plume), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

OK, OK, but what if the Darkness had the belt that gave them all the power of Foreigner?
