After all, my enthusiasm will never come close to matching these people.

Besides, I have never been that excited to drink a beer.

The Samples are forever going to be caught between obscurity and some sort of relative fame, it seems.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Horrible band of hippie dirtbags. A buddy of mine was roommates with some of them for years. A bunch of junkies.

Tab25, Tuesday, 17 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned is OTM. and i was one of those beer drinking tirds in the front row ten years ago. Hey i was a college student, what do you want.

Chris V (Chris V), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh, I first heard about them when I came to UCI for grad school and I was wondering about seeing all these albums of theirs in the school record store. DB, who worked there at the time, enlightened me.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

they bring back some good memories for me, but i wouldn't listen to them on a regular basis anymore. maybe once a year.

Chris V (Chris V), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)
