I kind of enjoy being underground and all aswell, but aren't you overdoing it with Pussy Galore-bootlegs? Not even Jon Spencer would listen to that.

oh, I don't know. I'm still looking to replace my fifty-third generation cassette dub of Exile on Main Street. I'm a Hagerty completist, you see.

Plus, speaking for the record, as a piss take, I've heard worse (Bongwater's Double Bummer comes screaming to mind)

No, probably not. I don't think of it as as conscious a piss take as Exile, but all that Beatles-y stuff reallty grates on me. Hard album to take seriously, but then, I've never really taken a liking to that whole downtown / Knitting Factory scene.

Yeah, their official releases already sounded like bootlegs.

To be fair to the original poster, I'm sure many Pussy Galore bootlegs sound better than the official releases... (The In The Red release being a shining example)
