This is "Trees" as in Garden of Jane Delawney? Yes if it's a reissue, or CD, no if it's an original at collector's prices.

Seek also:

Shirley Collins and the Albion Country Band "No Roses"

Eclection s/t

On The Shore is also available as a reissue. Personally I prefer it to the first one.

The Shirley Collins album is my favourite folk rock album. It's really beautiful, & haunting in places.

The Eclection one is odd, they were an Elektra band who were supposed to be big, but they never made it. Their album only recently came out on cd. It's only slightly folky, + vaguely love-ish and jefferson airplaneish in places, but the vocals on it!! The harmonies are kind of dorky seekers-ish on first listen, but when you get into it, the POWER!!! The female singer, Kerilee Male, has one of the best singing voices I've ever heard, apparently she gave up music after that one album.

six years pass...

I am a dirty hippie and I love On The Shore.

Would I like the first one, as well?

(This was an incredibly hard band to search for, BTW)

Heard the song about the Tollpuddle Martyrs on Freakzone earlier this week and now I can't stop playing this album! The woman just has such an incredible voice and yeah, I'm just a sucker for that 70s English psych-folk thing.
