Where would 'Carnage Visors' go if it was included in the 'Join the Dots'-box?

The side-long B-side Carnage Visors is one of the few tracks left off of the new Cure B-sides-box. But where would it go if it HAD been included?

Provided there was space, surely next to the Faith-era b-sides?

Between Splintered In Her Head & Lament.

Err, between 'Descent' and 'Splintered', why do you ask?

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Because I have all the tracks stored on my pc and I'd like to have everything in chrononological order.

But does it come before or after Splintered?

Melson (ArchCarrier), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Before. It was recorded for the Faith tour, in lieu of a supporting act.

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks, people.

But wasn't Charlotte Sometimes recorded as part of the Faith sessions, therfore the B-Sides were too? When was Carnage Visors *actually* released for the first time? Was it the double cassette edition of Faith?

mzui, Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:36 (twenty-two years ago)

It wasn't so much a proper b-side as the soundtrack to a film, right?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I just read here that Charlotte Sometimes / Splintered in her Head came out in October of 1981. Here someone claims that he saw a "Faith" show in April of '81. So Carnage does come before Splintered.

Melson (ArchCarrier), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Alex, yeah it was just the soundtrack to a short film. Made available on the Faith tape

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, it was released as the B-side of the Faith cassette...

Melson (ArchCarrier), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Sure, but if you're gonna play that little game, you're gonna have to sort all the stuff that's on the Concert / Curiosity tape as well...

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Thursday, 19 February 2004 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

True, although I think live recordings are horses of a different color.

".... someone claims that he saw a "Faith" show in April of '81."

That would appear to be correct - I saw them 5 days later at Reading Hexagon!

Stewart, I'm very jealous. Did you see Carnage Visors? Is it any good?

mzui, Thursday, 19 February 2004 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

eight years pass...

I had forgotten how completely obsessed with "Carnage Visors" I used to be until I stumbled across it on Spotify yesterday. I'm 12 minutes in and hoping it never actually ends.

the interlude around the 13 minute mark where everything builds to those repeated chords before quieting down and sliding back into the original theme is just beautiful
