that sounds like a lot of headache music.

When I was DJing in New Haven saturday some guy comes up to me and goes "are you dan selzer from new york city?" and I said "yeah" and he paused and said "oh, I got you confused with another dan from New York City, from Fort Awesome." Then he left, missing me absolutely rocking New Haven like it's never been rocked before. What was up with that?

I've never seen Mouthus but traded a Metal Urbain CD for their CD but haven't listened to it yet.

Curing or causing?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe he thought you were Dan Setzer?

Broheems (diamond), Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:53 (twenty-two years ago)

dan, if you keep patting yourself on the back like that you won't be able to spin any more.

oh, and stop emailing me.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

fort awesome is neither a FORT nor AWESOME.

FYFI.

ddb, Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:57 (twenty-two years ago)

ddb OTM

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

sigh.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

m.

msp, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

you kidding cutty? the more I pat myself on the back, the more I have to fight the offers away with sticks.

But when did I ever email you? I have no idea who you are.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:31 (twenty-two years ago)

oh and ned, I was just teasing Lauren...it's an "inside" joke.

But yeah, causing headaches.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

that's because i don't plaster my real name all over the place every chance i get, Dan Selzer (danselzer@yahoo.com).

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I am so there; Total War is people I know from Columbi. USA and FaceDownInShit are always fun. Eloe Omoe are sometimes cool too, but you can't dance to them.

and isn't Animal Collective playing somewhere way uptown tomorrow night?

Ian Johnson (orion), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:34 (twenty-two years ago)

oh and ned, I was just teasing Lauren...it's an "inside" joke

Aw.

Cutty, you seem annoyed?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:35 (twenty-two years ago)

ned, i love you.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Can someone take a BREAK from putting on NOISE shows in Williamsburg and build a DANG movie theater instead.

please?

ddb, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:38 (twenty-two years ago)

ddb, i love you.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:38 (twenty-two years ago)

movies = more expensive than noise.

Ian Johnson (orion), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. I am a self-promotion whore. Because I am in the business of meeting people who like the same music I do, it helps me get DJ gigs, sell CDs, meet friends etc. Why would I not use my real name?

Animal Collective is playing at Barnard.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

movies = more expensive than noise.

Truth.

but when was the last time you got SOME ASS at a NOISE show?

theater please!!!

ddb, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

noise shows smell funny.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:46 (twenty-two years ago)

but when was the last time you got SOME ASS at a NOISE show?

Sometime in November!

Ian Johnson (orion), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:46 (twenty-two years ago)

but when was the last time you got SOME ASS at a NOISE show?

now that is the TRUTH.

noise shows smell funny.

sadly, this is also true.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Sometime in November!

Sweet, was HE good to you?

ddb, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Sweet, was HE good to you?

oh, now that's just unfair. honestly, though, when I lived in Providence I used to hook up with my (now ex)girlfriend between bands at noise shows ALL THE TIME.

Ian Johnson (orion), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Skullflower makes me horny.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 20 February 2004 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Ian Christe (Ian Christe), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

nice flyer

re: the show that started the thread
so I stayed for Kiyo Butai and Mouthus, who were both very good, but it got supercrowded after that and there was pizza to eat and a friend's new apt to visit

Russ, Wednesday, 3 March 2004 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

god, i hope not.

cutty (mcutt), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 20:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Eloe Omoe were disappointing; and I'm sure you've seen USA numerous times before. You didn't miss much, really.
