well, he's not really my buddy. i enjoyed/enjoy his Voice writing and he threw some writing work my way. he's cool by me. thought i'd let you mountain goats fans know. it was on, um, you know, the alex chadwick news show. whatever the hell its called.

Pretty vague review, but still. Only the second time I've ever heard the Mountain Goats on the radio. And the other time, I had to request it on a college station in Ames.

He committed two big sins, didn't he? He mispronounced Mr. Darn13ll3's surname and treated both songs he talked about as if they were necesssarily autobiographical. Sylvia Poggioli would never make such a mistake.

Well, the review had at least one positive direct effect. My sister just emailed, as a result of hearing the review, and asked me if I had ever heard the record and if she should buy it. Told her yes on both counts.
