That list is a bit bait. I just really love the cut up voice samples and the alternating horror movie/soap opera melodies.

There's 5. All Three-6 Mafia tunes. They weren't always great but yeah those are some of the best beats I've ever heard anyone do.

i love that ludacris song so much.

William Wiggins, Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah is that the one with the coughing noises? I'd like it more if Ludacris wasn't on it, i don't like his 'comedy thug' stuff.

scg, Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

it's cool to hear non-three six guys on dj paul/juicy j beats and it's an amazing beat. i don't really know any other non-three six affiliated tracks.

William Wiggins, Thursday, 19 February 2004 20:55 (twenty-two years ago)

its their first outside production ever

$$, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:11 (twenty-two years ago)

How is Da Unbreakables considered highly amongst you 36M heads? I mean, it's the only record of theirs I've heard; I bought it about a month ago. I liked it a lot, but I don't find myself returning to it so much. I guess it felt a little over long. Is this a good/representative album though? Should I have gotten a different one? Has the production style changed much over time?

Broheems (diamond), Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:12 (twenty-two years ago)

its their best but the best hypnotize minds is crazyndalazdayz by tear da club up thugs!!

$$, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

i haven't heard everything but da unbreakable is my favorite. it's a good album and sort of represenative, the dark crunk stuff and the most of the rest is pretty standard, the sound of it is represenative, and cool new ideas like ghetto chick and ridin spinners, testin my gangsta.

i think it's the thing i've listened to most after beg for mercy.

William Wiggins, Thursday, 19 February 2004 21:23 (twenty-two years ago)

they fuckin produced "go to sleep" off word of mouf. they are up ludacris' butt

joshd, Friday, 20 February 2004 00:09 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm no Three 6 expert, but I can't believe noone has mentioned "Who Run It", that beat is incredible.

Al (sitcom), Friday, 20 February 2004 03:07 (twenty-two years ago)

X:

a) triple six - smokin on the dro
b) project pat - if you ain't from my hood
c) three six - weak azz bitch
d) triple six - grab da gauge
e) la chat - you ain't mad iz ya
f) three six - late nite tip
g) lil wyte - i know you strapped
h) three six - hit a muthafucka
i) project pat - fuckin with the best
j) triple six - m.e.m.p.h.i.s. (remix)

today i listened to frayser boy "gone on that bay" for the first time. i was pleasantly pleased with it. although "she swallowed it" disturbed me. i had a lot of empathy for the title character. she's probably a nice girl, men are such pigs.

i sorta lost focus during the second half of the album since i listened to that while i was working out and just thinking about how much i wanted to stop, but the first half i listened to and fro work in my car and it was BUMPIN AS HELLZ.

joshd, Friday, 20 February 2004 03:14 (twenty-two years ago)

and yeah nearly all of crazyndalazdayz

big business
triple six clubhouse
smoked out, loced out
throw your sets (also - throw your sets in the air off mystic styles is awesome)

joshd, Friday, 20 February 2004 03:27 (twenty-two years ago)

7. Diamond In The Back
Produced by DJ Paul and Juicy J
Contains sample from "Just Be Thankful For What You Got" by William DeVaughn.

William Wiggins, Saturday, 21 February 2004 00:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I listened to Da Unbreakables again last night. I enjoyed it a lot more this time. It sounds better on headphones (first couple times I listened on my stereo).

Broheems (diamond), Saturday, 21 February 2004 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I heard Chapter 2: World Domination the other night. Still their best album. I only picked 5 earlier and I'm adding "Spill My Blood" - damn thats some crazy shit. Lord Infamous is by far my favorite rapper from that whole Memphis scene.

Johnny Badlees (crispssssss), Saturday, 21 February 2004 18:35 (twenty-two years ago)

eight months pass...
Yo. Three six is definetly the shit, Don't get much of a chance to get much of their stuff up here in Canada though, But i will let them know that they have fans up North! The only other artist i know Dj paul and Juicy J worked with either than HCP and prophet posse is Young buck, " taking hits" and " stomp" from straight outta cashville. Some hot shit.

Josh Micheal, Friday, 5 November 2004 06:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, the last minute of "Triple 6 Clubhouse," after the violin comes in, is like the greatest thing I've ever heard.

four years pass...

awesome review

dj paul and juicy j invite you to their art-deco hedonistic paradise trapped in '95 for time eternal, if only to please for one evening. an ocean of dead hoes before you. haters teleported to the sun's throat column. dj paul's right arm is a pillar of steam and iron stretching out to henny embalmed in an orb. juicy j has literally turned into an amorphous cloud of liquids. guns arc far into the horizon but everyone is already dead. existence itself is their vacation. "hey man what you thinkin' i just fuckin' kill you here HA." juicy j brings the wine bottle to his mouth. o to die atop olympus herself. a solitary plane passes overhead without a pilot.
