Things that sample Stevie Nick's "Stand Back Modern"

Recently Stevie Nicks's "Stand Back" seems to be getting sampled a lot
Firstly there was that Felix Da Housecat thing - James Starr Scenario - Welcome To Thee Light

Then there was Linus Loves - The Terrace

And I just heard another tune that samples it on the radio.

Anyone know of others?

No, it's the main keyboard riff.
They all seem to sample the same part.

it's a great riff, i don't know the Felix track or this other new thing that samples it but i liked Linus Loves, even the vocal version with Sam Obernik

Linus Loves is currently being used as the title theme to BBC's Football Focus on Saturday afternoons

hmmm, i dislike that title sequence immensely. Bit hypocritical too - every week you've got Stubbs and Lawro agreeing how money has ruined football. And what do the Beeb do? Get a bunch of celeb footballers to stare moodily into the camera or stand by their sports cars.

i quite like it - Gerrard is playing snooker which is quite funny. Darius Vassell resembles a solemn action hero fleetingly.

The Felix thing was a white 12". Kinda hard to find now. Soulwax were playing it a lot.

My understanding, which is admittedly a bit iffy, is that the bit you are talking about having been sampled was actually written by Prince - if the bit you are talking about is the liquid synth wooWoowooWoo run that starts 20-30 seconds into the song. Anybody know if that is correct, or if I am even talking about the same bit as the rest of the thread?

Yeah, that's it and that would make sense as Jamie Starr was a Prince pseudonym in the 1980s which appears on his work with Vanity 6 etc. I wondered what prince had to do with it.

Hence The Jamie Starr Scenario.
