I've never been able to fathom the appeal of 'vintage' drum machines, unlike synths etc. Having suffered through the pie-tin kick drums and programming 'eccentricities', I think this is one area where new = better

Not to me. I like drum machines taht sound like little metal objects being struck by robots

that's the best thing i've seen this week, mike. gahblessya.

i guess it was having occasional access to a home organ that makes me love cheesy drum sounds. and "planet rock." and that can song with the organ drums.

I love vintage drum machines. Used to have an 808 and 909. Roland made some sweet boxes.

i hope you got a good price for the 808 and 909 - a few years ago they were going for a *lot* of money in the UK
