i just heard their new one playing in the store and it sounded ok/good. i just picked up their Tallahassee cd over lunch break today. didn't know they had much of ANY kind of following...

my friend, and constant companion (in a heterosexual context) has been on a mountain goats binge lately. The new one doesn't seem all that strong to me, but he only plays a few choice songs off it (claiming they're all about meth.)

Tallahassee is good, and the earlier, folkier stuff is good when the lyrics aren't icky.
