I'm interviewing Mirah sometime this month.

What should I ask her?

Kevin Erickson, Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

What the hell she recorded her first album and the Black Mountain Music Project record on (exact model of 4-track, minidisc rec., make, the whole nine, etc.) and what microphones she used on it. HAHHAHA. Yeaaa, let's just say I really dig the kerr-azy lo-fi sound on those. Sorry to get all technical and Tape Op on yr ass. But you're my only hope. Don't fail me now! Ask her about her songwriting process. And what inspired the BMMP. Also tell her I love harr and that I send her a kiss.

I'd ask her why the heck she opened "Advisory Committee" with such a roaring, epic, orchestral storm, and then filled the rest out with noodling, zombie "lo-fi" crap.

Also, I think I might ask her abt the relationship between the mirah/microphones naif/wonder/child perspective, and the way it interacts with the sexiness of the records.

Is Kobe guilty?

keith m (keithmcl), Sunday, 22 February 2004 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Ask her what she thinks it is about her music that makes people like my girlfriend want to listen to such third tier indie pap.

maypang (maypang), Sunday, 22 February 2004 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 00:27 (twenty-one years ago)

dude, DONT ask her any insightful questions pertaining to her records. i learned this the hard way in an interview i did at my radio station, a few years ago. she got all pissy because i failed to ask about her being a lesbian!

i know, strange. but funny. and true.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 01:02 (twenty-one years ago)

that is so bizarre.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

oh crap i forgot to interview her!

I will do this next week.

Kevin Erickson, Wednesday, 14 April 2004 02:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Ask her about being a lesbian and nothing else.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 02:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Hooray we can request questions here yes?

Leee O'Gaddy (Leee), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 03:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Like, is the "C'mon Miracle" a play on her name, and on being a lesbian?

Leee O'Gaddy (Leee), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 03:46 (twenty-one years ago)

For some reason I think it's a line from a movie about a horce.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 14 April 2004 21:58 (twenty-one years ago)
