To die, that is. I kinda figure Ringo will be the first to go, but secretly I'm hoping it's Paul.

I'm with you on that one.

Eat my fuc.

Paul McCartney, Monday, 23 February 2004 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

It'll be Ringo, because Paul died about 30 years ago. Bad Wrong False Paul will live in perpetuity.

they will both live until yoko is gone, at which point they will tour the world as "the beatles," with julian lennon on rhythm guitar and one of the posies on lead guitar. they will delete the entire beatles catalog and replace it with new recordings of the same songs, now credited entirely to "mccartney" except for a few george harrison songs, which the posies guy will sing.

Billy Shears or Ringo is the real question.

Pete Best will outlive them both.

I thought that was Ringo.

maypang (maypang), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

he still looks like yasser arafat.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I initially read that as "yer fat ass."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Pete Best will outlive them all and has been waiting for 40 years for the chance to dance on their graves. He will then be the Only Living Beatle in existence, reclaiming the Vaunted Beatle Legacy entirely for himself.

Old anorak men will spend lots of time bemoaning this fact on web forums by and for Old Anorak Beatles Fan Old Men web forums. Meanwhile, the youth won't notice or care one way or another about old man Best and his Nostalgia Empire, much less the Moaning Old Men.

Oh, then Pete will marry Yoko.

At least I hope it turns out this way, though I have a sinking feeling that McCartney will live longer than the Queen Mum did, longer than any of us reading this, the git.

Poor guy.

Yoko sold her soul in the mid 60s for eternal life (and everlasting avant-cred). She will not go gently into that good night.

pete s, Monday, 23 February 2004 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

between drugs, rehab and Shining Time Station, Ringo has quite a few years of hard living to account for that would probably factor into his long term health.

Al (sitcom), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:27 (twenty-two years ago)

The drunk with the big ears will outlive us all. Paul is too nice. God
hate that.
