@d@m's CD-R 700MB MP3 SUPER CHALLENGE (of death)

Inspired by Nate's original challenge and somewhat by the "Dare You" thread, I would like to try and inspire a new orgy of cd-trading and playlist pimping.

The trick this time is in filling a 700mb cdr with stuff from your own personal "vaults", not necessarily the stuff you want playing at your funeral or anything, more like the odds and ends, gems, oddities, and "curios" that some ILX folk might never have heard, or that you would like more people to hear. Thus you have my permission to be obscure, frustrating, eclectic, random, and (quite preferably) flawed. Try to avoid putting on any songs that you would consider a favourite, especially if you put that song on your CDR for Nate's thread. Think of this as a compilation of the "deleted scenes" on the DVD of your life as a music listener.

When you've finished a playlist, post it here and then people can ask you for a copy.

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 04:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I certainly have enough random shit to fill up a CD700...I just don't have a burner!

mullygrubber (gaz), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 09:52 (twenty-two years ago)

i am tempted to ask for the tales of these "odds and ends, gems, oddities, and curios". what are the stories they hold?

mullygrubber (gaz), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 10:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Errr, can I have a copy, Douglas?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Sadly, this is a purely theoretical playlist, as I'm currently separated from my copies of these records by several thousand miles... next time I get to make a 700MB, though, it'll probably look a lot like that.

And how about anyone else's?

Douglas (Douglas), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll hopefully have mine up early next week.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll have to see what I can build that includes none of the tracks I included in the previous "Challenge of Death" thread.

Lord Custos Omicron (Lord Custos Omicron), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Air Miami! I thought I was the only person who had one of their records.

Jeff W (zebedee), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I have an Air Miami CD, got it for 2 quid in Cash Converters.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I am working on mine. It will include Catherine Deneuve, Liza Minnelli, Tuesday Weld, Xaviera Hollander, David Eshet, Jem and the Holograms, Dolly Parton, Paul Mauriat, The Barry Sisters, Sandie Shaw, Barbra Streisand, Paul Sorvino, Lena Zavaroni, three versions of "Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son" and, uh, Lil' Markie

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 19:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I want it!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Paul Sorvino?
