Liars touring ... questions ...

I have never seen Liars live (i live in SF and don't believe they have been out here) and saw they were coming soon. I enjoyed their first record and EPs but think the new record is garbage. my question is ... has anyone seen them on this tour and if so are they any good live? do they still play the old hits and is it worth it? thanks

they dont play the old hits (!) yes its worth it - MUCH better live than on record.

i can't decide between the BOTH or the Slim's show, but i'll probably go to one of them

i wrote this in the other recent (mostly negative) liars thread, but the whole album's appeal to me is how it successfully 'creates' a series of field recordings -- in this light especially the live show is terrifyingly good. i was disappointed when i had heard they weren't playing the old stuff, but after the show i realized that the older stuff would have seemed completely inconequential in contrast. julian on drums comes off like a complete idiot on the record, but live is pretty convincing

I'll go to one of the SF shows, for sure.

Can anyone who saw them after the first album compair those shows to the new ones? I was really nervous about their old rythm section taking off. They made the band the first few times I saw them.

It's truly a totally different band.
