i was thinking the other day about that 'course bruv' tune, and thought, well that slightly cheesy, butlins style mcing 2 step stuff was pretty good, and wondered, with a tear in my eye, what had happened to all those ol' folks. you know, pied piper, luck and neat, artful dodger, genius cru, er...and al the others who churned this stuff out. i can't believe they are all trying to cram into the urban house thing, so what are they all doing now? arent some of these old skool types going to crop up again under new monikers but putting out grime stuff? or have they jacked it in? are they doing pas of 'boom selection' at school disko somewhere?
this is the thread where you keep us informed of the movements of the first wave of garage mcs. a 'where are they now'....

Yeah he was - he went back to making drum & bass. A shame really because there was actually quite a variety of Truesteppers tunes - "The Finest" was a great Groove Chronicles-style moody tune riffing on (you guessed it) the SOS Band.

pied piper and luck and neat are on many flyers for events in croydon tottenham enfield, alongside nick blackmarket and ratpack. "oldskool 95-01" type things
