...that was due to be "English Summer Rain," wasn't it?

it is, i'm still liking the Freelance Hellraiser mix but this was already included on the last single (Special Needs)

Does all this remix malarkey actually open up Placebo to new markets, though? Because Placebo fans on the whole hate the idea of remixes, decks, dancing, and anything that doesn't involve Velvet Goldmine and snakebite really. I just wonder why they go so remix crazy on their singles. Or are they too lazy to record b-sides?

At one point they recorded more...but since then they've apparently had a change of heart.

sez that CD2 has the EoST remix on it. it certainly made me interested in buying it anyway. i think they're one of the few bands that remix well (with the exception of Kevin Shields suckola remix of "pure morning")

two months pass...
finally heard the EoST remix, it's nice enough, it's just a shame they had such a weak song to start with, and they could have done heaps more with it..

But I like "English Summer Rain" I do. Still haven't heard this yet.

the melody is probably its weakest part, and unfortunately their backing isn't really strong enough to carry it. it might grow on me though
