I have an assignment about a french person due soon and im in a bit of a slump. I want to do someone that im interested in but its being a problem because I cant think of many cool french people. my number one choice right now is Kid Loco, but finding much info about him, enough to write 400 french words about (and my french is limited) is difficult. sooooooooooooo, if anyone can help me with info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone can suggest an alternate person feel free to respond other posibilities of mine include Jean-Jacques Perrey, Serge Gainsbourgh, or possibly a french painter since im not limited to musicians...

Francoise Hardy seconded...there's a great lyric/audio clip site here. You could also mention Jacques Dutronc, as they worked together and are now married. S. Gainsbourg will be very easy to write about as he's done so much...and it all makes for good reading. There's a really good biog available, called View from the Exterior.

stevem: Gondry indeed

just bought the DVD the other day, he sure knows how to make a video. I think that the shortfilm about himself and the book that came with the DVD give you enough info to write at least 40 pages about the guy.

Claude François
Michel Vaillant ;-)

Gainsbourg should be the easiest though
