When MEETS is right !

Lazy journalism symptom is when a band / artist is described by combining two other artists with some adjective (e.g. Meets). But sometimes it's so on the mark that you know how its going to sound immediately.

My example : Fanfare by Eric Matthews = Nick Drake meets the Boo Radleys.

Any others? (Ones you like would be preferred)

I saw some quote about Arthur Russell somewhere where it said he was like Nick Drake meets New Order. It might not be entirely 'right', but it was an effective comparison and it made me think for a second.

They didn't actually use the word "meets" but it still counts right?

Sure. It's more a request for artists that are a direct cross or combination of only two other acts.
