Intrigued by reviews of their new EP - saw 'em live a few years ago and they were neither here nor there - anyone heard the John Entwhistle thing? Or anything else worth checking out?

Their second album, Asleep Many Years In The Wood, is very good in a slightly more regularized Palace way. I've heard that it's a dramatic improvement over the 1st full-length, which I haven't listened to. I haven't got the Entwistle thing yet.

The best Palace-connected recent release is EZ T's Goodbye Little Doll. Rocks in a good way, excellent songs. Recommended for fans of Magnolia Electric Co.

two years pass...

a band that sounds like a combination between the brother oldham+neil young+the eagles,failed to make a really great record yet,but did some nice one's:
the fact is that if you listen closely, in every record of them theres 1 or 2 great songs.
to make things short - wait for the compilation.
or make one:sixteen ways,bluebird of happiness,bird child...
