An idle thought... have the Boredoms ever been reviewed or covered at all in the NME?

Yup, they got a glowing review at the start of this year. 9 or 10, album of the month I think.

It was a shock album of the month in January, when they do those look back on the month features.

It was amazing because they usually never cover bands who are foreign, really (apart from american bands, of course). But I think Vision, Creation,... was the first album that got proper distribution in the UK.

The Boredoms are the most spiritual band on Earth. Let's not raise too big a fuss, okay? We might screw it up and stuff.

The Boredoms are the most spiritual band on Earth.

By hook or by crook, this may be true.

I'm pretty sure Edwin Pouncey reviewed earlier Boredoms records in the NME, at one time he was given an occasional column to review stuff that was too good or interesting to make the main review section.

NME are pretty good for reviews. They tend to rate good stuff well. But they don't do enough reviews.

I first heard about the Boredoms in NME around 5-6 years ago. There was a big feature article on them. I'm pretty sure it was them... the article mentioned the driving a bulldozer through the club incident. Crazy that that one article stuck with me for so long. Also crazy that it took me 5-6 years to actually listen to the band.

I recall an On piece (as it was called at the time) in I think 94, when Wiiija rereleased the early albums
