Busta Rhymes signed to Aftermath: Are We Excited?

(I liked the subject line of the LL/Timbaland thread, so I'm nicking it for this)

I know the news has been public for a little while now, but I don't think it's been discussed here. thoughts? I guess as long as Busta doesn't get stuck in the release schedule shuffle that half of Aftermath's signings have been victims of, it should be interesting. hopefully Busta stays who he is and doesn't try too hard to fit in with 50 and Em (although hearing him get intense on that "Hail Mary" remake was kind of cool).

Aftermath sounds like it's already been the title of a Busta album.

Evidently we are not excited.

Oh you don't have to lie to make Busta feel better.

emphatically not

Busta seems plenty excited. I don't think he needs my encouragement.

Last I heard JayDee was doing some shit for Busta's next record. Even supposed to have one Madlib beat that was left off the Jaylib record. So Dre, JayDee, Madlib.... I'm pretty excited.

I think that if Busta follows the lead of some of the remixes and collabos he's done lately for the album (without crowding it up with too many guests and trend-hopping, of course), it could come off really well. a little dancehall, a little crunk, and that Joe Budden track and "Shorty (Put It On The Floor)" have whet my appetite for a serious Busta/Just Blaze track. and with Aftermath, hopefully it won't sink like a stone like that album that he put out too quick after Genesis.
