You're mostly right, Mark. BUT I don't think that prefab pop is necessarily a BAD thing. That stuff doesn't sell millions because of hype: it sells because it's got cute little tunes that millions of people like to hear - effortlessly enjoyable, like jellybeans or yo-yos.]
