The Demons of Sweden had all their guitars stolen last night in Oakland, out of a parked van. After filing a police report and calling the pawn shops, does anyone have any recovery suggestions?

They could offer to buy the instruments back off the thieves (cheaper than buying replacements, the thieves get more money than they would otherwise probably, everyone wins), but this kind of thing is difficult to arrange as I know from my kidnapping days.

did they call all the various used guitar stores too?
make a posting on craigslist, too. that's a quick and easy way to get the word out 'round these parts.
