Aside from the fact that I disagree wholeheartedly with that review, although I admit there are two weaker songs in the middle, I am really scratching my head about that quote:
"their three Flower Shop releases have to date sold over 30,000 copies combined, earning Proper-Sheppard a comfortable European living."
Maybe in Moldova

Yeah, that also left me puzzled.. So what's your take on the album?

I like it a lot. The middle section is a bit weaker and you have to skip "holidays are nice". But Oh my love is on of my favourite singles this year so far an the last two songs a are awesome two. Just saw them live last friday, very good show, the crowd loved it and they played a great selection of their three records.

"You only see the things you've convinced yourself you saw" is a great line

I thought Ott wasn't writing for them anymore. Hmmm.

He reviewed the Cure b-sides box set this week, too.

He's not on the staff page but I think "contributor" is accurate.

best record this year so far. it would be even better if proper-sheppard wouldn't sound so much like mick jagger. especially on i left you. which is absolutely gorgeous. and would be even more if jagger had never existed.

absolutely gorgeous. and would be even more if jagger had never existed.

this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

Does the artist sound like he's been influenced by Jagger? Or is Ott just of the view that everything would be better if Jagger hadn't existed.
