Here are 3 cds I've been listening to lately:
Out Hud - STREET DAD
The Cure - Bloodflowers
Kanye West - The College Dropout

Can anyone suggest anything wildly entertaining and new that I would like? Thanks.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Friday, 5 March 2004 21:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Cee-Lo.

Albums I've been listening to the most these days...

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Norfolk Coast by the Stranglers
Probot by Proboot
Heads Up by Death From Above

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Probot.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

"Proboot"

The truth is revealed! Alex is a Canadian!

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I bought the the new Kylie Minogue and Incubus albums today. Both are pretty good. But I really recommend Unbeliever's Script, by Sceptic, a terrific Polish death metal band (all the best death metal bands are coming from Poland these days, and no, that's not a joke). It comes out in April.

Phil Freeman (Phil Freeman), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Envy.

Not enough people listen to Envy. Envy are the greatest angry rock band in the world. (The Japanese hardcore(ish) band, not the silly goth-metal band.)

Stupid (Stupid), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow. Polish Death Metal!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

>Wow. Polish Death Metal!

I'm not kidding. Check out recent albums by Vader (Revelations), Decapitated (Nihility) or Behemoth (Nos Kia Cultus).

Phil Freeman (Phil Freeman), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Vader is a great name for a Polish Death Metal band, by the way (thus I shan't hold their pilfering of the title Revelations from Killing Joke).

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 5 March 2004 22:56 (twenty-one years ago)

the tacoma radar cd is actually coming out on the 19th, esoj says it is the best thing ever, buy it.

keith m (keithmcl), Friday, 5 March 2004 23:58 (twenty-one years ago)

don't buy the Homosexuals CD. Wait a bit for the 3 CD Homosexuals collection Astral Glamour, it has everything on the ReR CD but also 2 more CDs of stuff, some better then anything on the initial CD.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I am still waiting on the longer, bigger, better Homosexuals, it was supposed to be out in Feb. then March, still nothing and now I'm broke and out of beer.

Chuck Warner's done a lot of work on it, it's definately nearing completion.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Tussle 12" Don't Stop - dubby dancey krauty more please

Dr. Annabel Lies (Michael Kelly), Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:56 (twenty-one years ago)

did you see the thing in the Ze mailing about Tussle reworking some classic record? I think it was Don Armando's 2nd Ave Rhumba Band, I'm an Indian Too or Deputy of Love? I heard they just play along to the record or something!

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:58 (twenty-one years ago)

better.

Is the 3CD thing going to be a CDR or a pressed CD?

Broheems (diamond), Saturday, 6 March 2004 00:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Pressed. He's planning an extensive full color booklet as well. Cross your fingers, it's a huge job and will be worth the wait.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Vader is a great name for a Polish Death Metal band

Just hailing the linguistic Babel here: "vader" in my mother tongue happens to be the equivalent for "godparent".
I've no idea whether "vader" means anything in Polish.

I saw it posted on EDP - apparently it's I'm an Indian too, and it comes out 15Mar. If they're just playing along, that's too silly. Can't wait to hear it of course. Full length sometime in August!!

Dr. Annabel Lies (Michael Kelly), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:20 (twenty-one years ago)

that tacoma radar cd has been out frever here. it went straight in at mid-price. esoj, you like them?

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Pressed. He's planning an extensive full color booklet as well. Cross your fingers, it's a huge job and will be worth the wait.

I suppose so, I emailed him and he said it was only going to be 20$ (US).

christhamrin (christhamrin), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:32 (twenty-one years ago)

waitasec, what name do you post under on EDP? Or am I just dense?

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I lurk, mostly. What few posts I've made are under the name TCP. There's precious little I've to offer, and obviously a lot to absorb. But it's the best signal:noise list for pure info.

Dr. Annabel Lies (Michael Kelly), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i was under the impression that the tacoma radar cd never came out. it isn't listed for sale anywhere.

keith m (keithmcl), Saturday, 6 March 2004 01:48 (twenty-one years ago)
