I hadn't noticed.

The more I read, the less I want to hear... I have a sickening feeling that the hype over this will make OK Computer look critically ignored in comparison. I just want to avoid it at all costs.

My one comment: using the same type of reverb on your drum pattern doesn't make your track a rip-off of "Windowlicker". (The track sounds a lot more like a Boards of Canada outtake to me.)

Other than that... I haven't listened to the second half of the album enough to rebut (besides "Idiotique", which is probably my second-favorite song on the album), but suffice to say that I agree with your positive comments. :)

Nice review, Tom, and thank you for articulating so perfectly my own feelings on OKC. I'm curious about this one. After that second album and the impending world tour, they're calling it quits right? What a loss.
