I don't know if it's the case that my CD has been mispressed, or if it's a colossal exercise in Brechtian audience alienation techniques, but the whole thing seems to have been recorded at half-speed (ie. all beats and voices sound like a 33rpm record playing at 16rpm - this is not as good as it might sound from a cursory description!).Anyway, is it actually meant to sound like that, or was I just very unlucky?

I remember when I used to have a cassette Walkman, and the batteries would run low...do I need to learn anything more than that?

Caveat to the muthafuckin' emptor, though! The person upthread who likened it to when your old-school walkman's batteries would slow down and warp the music was OTM. So I'm sure you could save yourself a few quid simply by listening to your favourite Geto Boys tapes in the same way.

'skitso' contains bushwick's two verses from 'mind of a lunatic', plus an additional verse. it's also slowed down to a narcotic pace, and there's a skit at the start (hence the name!) where someone goes to visit bushwick in a lunatic asylum or somesuch.
