the other day i popped my prince paul prince among thieves tape in the deck (dumpster walkman RIP) and of course the beats are rumpshaker but my boy breeze is starting to sound like one of the great lost mcs of the 90s- charisma, emotional shit, comic timing, dumb punchlines out the ass, and man that VOICE!! the only other records i know him from are the indelible mcs song from soundbombing (where him and the beat hold hands and laugh at every other cat on the track) and a couple of weatherman joints- the one with tame from artifacts, freestyling over the ghostface 'fish' beat, and that aaagh delicious verse on 5 left in the clip ('breezly i approach yall spy on enemies blah blah like im bobby knight yall brian denehy'- i guess im just asking up for the ilm underground heads if dude is actually good on any other shit, or what hes doing now besides a couple ec joints, or whatever- really i think i mostly just love his voice, the perfect springtime rappin move between like cassidy and some other new jack buzz conversational mc

CHRIST

juggaknots 'clear blue skies'

it's him, occasionally his sister Heroine and his brother Buddy Slim on beats, with the odd rhyme

there was a re-release of this album with way more songs last year. it's one of the most mindblowing performances of the 90's, dude. breeze brewin shits on a high percentage of rappers out there. right now, he works at fat beats in new york and he just dropped another 12 inch with the juggaknots as well.

my favorite thing about him is how his flow is ridiculously seamless, like the lines thread through each other, rolling into one another, it's really technical, while being completely effortless.

download 'jivetalk' and 'i'm gonna kill you' and tell me how ahead of his timethis guy was.

oh and on the company flow album you hate, he kills it on 'the fire in which you burn'

Juggaknots 'Re:release' is definitely worth getting. do that shit.

yeah, no doubt. he's sick on the Juggaknots album. it's got kind of dank soupy lo-fi beats though.

Yeah he rips it on "fire in which you burn"

The Jugganots album is definitely worth getting, and the beats aren't particularly 'soupy lo-fi' sounding considering when they were made.

considering what trife likes though?

i just gave it a quick-skim listening and yeah I guess most of the beats are kinda dark BUT I don't think that should stop trife from searching it out.
