a six or seven part bounce suite by new orleans rappers/producers partners-n-crime and bounce legend/special education teacher dj jubilee that was released in nineteen ninety-seven. i purchased it on a bounce compilation in the spring of two thousand four. so, opening with folk song thing clapalong, "my hot girl and your hot girl were sittin by the bayou-- my hot girl told your hot girl, i got a hot boy -- that -- is -- fire" and then a real bounce beat to instruct every neighborhood in new orleans (all wards should make noise and the following neighborhoods are known for having hot boys, gert-town, saint thomas, calliope, desire, st bernard, fisher, and lucky.), until jubilee calls for an end to put the two triggermen on so they can be done and be out. [girls do the hoes don't like that response and boys do the haters don't like that response] IF YOU ROLLING ON CHROME AND YA BANK ROLL FAT (i say them haters don't like that) IF YOU KNOW YOU LOOKIN SHARP IN YA DKNY (i say them hoes don't like that) IF YOU TATTED UP FROM YA CHEST TO YA BACK (i say them haters don't like that) IF YOU AND YA GIRL COOL AND YA LET HER WEAR YA SHOES (i say them hoes don't like that)--- to a gentle beat mutatation and then an important one to big scratching and some rock the bells bouce style and frantic chanting and the second call and response segment: [this response section is for girls and boys together] IF YOU RIDING BIG BODY ON TWENTY INCH CHROME (get yo shine on, get shine on) IF YOU GETTIN READY READY AND THEM GIRLS WANNA GET SWEATY (get yo shine on, get yo shine on) IF YOU SLUGGED AT THE TOP AND YOU SLUGGED AT THE BOTTOM (get yo shine on, get yo shine on) IF YOU REPRESENT YO WARD AND YOU KNOW THAT IT'S HARD (get yo shine on, get yo shine on)-- and back to regular dj jubilee chanting stuff that sounds okay, and into the sort of unexpected slowsinging over the same bounce thing about a mother's love-- i like records that are meant to be anthems kind of, i'm not sure anthem is what i mean, but the special song for that place (the best thing ever said at the start of a song is p saying IT'S TIME FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM at the start of bout it bout it), especially southern rap ones, i think, and this is really good.
