Forgive me for "pimping", but I have to ask. If anyone can help a tiny bit with taping up a few KCRW posters at certain shows at Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Joe's Pub, Knitting Factory, Piano's, SOB, Warsaw in Brooklyn, Maxwell's, I can give you a pair o' tix to that show for free.

Some shows have been/will be: Blonde Redhead, Clinic, Starlight Mints, Cafe Tacuba, Poly Spree, Bjork/Sigur Ros, Dandy Warhols, Death Cab for Cutie, Black Keys, Nitin Sawhney, Fun Lovin Criminals, South, Van Hunt, Nortec Collective, Stars.

Naw. Good? I saw them at Henry Fonda and found them just alright...would rather see them at Spaceland. Did you see the openers?

Oh, and if you know anyone who frequents Maxwell's in Hoboken or is willing to make the journey, (Stars, Azure Ray) that'd be swell.

Did you see the openers?

Saw The Dears which were very interesting. Couldn't decide if they were amazing or not - was distracted by their keyboard player! Something very Baroque about them.

Yes, "people" are. Pimpin. Live internet streams. It makes sense if a band, say, Stars which has something of a following but wouldn't draw many folks to Hoboken. No one in NYC plays Stars, that I know of. WFUV, por ejemplo. Helps Stars, helps Maxwell's, helps the dot com, etc etc

Internet streams also makes special sense in a city like NYC as the buildings get in the way of the radio signal and people don't drive so they don't listen in their cars, as much.
