So... How about that BS 2000?

I realize even their latest has been out for awhile, but I just picked it up and loved it. This, I feel, is what side-projects should be like. The instrumentals eclipse even the best of the B-Boys Mario C. organ wanking (which I shamefully love anyway), and the whole Sesame Street jamout feel brought me back to my childhood. Just nix the whole vague political posturing on some of the not-so-good hardcore influenced numbers and it would just be downright cool.

its a great LP... but Keyboard Money Mark was the Beasties' keyboard player (and he never wanked, he waxed, and it was divine), Mario C. was their producer...

after James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy met on the David Holmes Bow Down to the Exit sign project, the two quit and formed the DFA. BS 2000's second album is the first DFA production. Trivial, I know.

haha, I'm such a cunt. Fuck though, even if it isn't saying much to say so, this album is better than anything the beastie boys ever did.

the FIRST album maybe, it's approximately eight zillion times better than the second
