Class A

Curious to know if these guys already had some form of history in the grime / garage scene... I try to follow things with semi-regularity but had never heard of them until The Clash / In Da Midlands single came out (which I like by the way)

Am I just horribly out of the loop? What was the earlier track Feel No Way like?

I had never heard of Class A before either but I just want to say that every single release I've heard from Platinum Projects (about five) has been unique and rather brilliant.

Yeah guy in the record store said they've been putting out good stuff.

The first 10 releases were techno / house / electro etc and the next 10 are gonna be in the garage / r&b / hip hop vein, right?

Ooops I just checked their site and that's not the case... strange that they seem to have numbered the records in that order though.

"In The Midlands" is great but the a-side is not quite so brill - still quality though! I heard another single from Platinum (the one before, I can't remember it's name) which was in more of a Plasticman grime/garage vein and didn't excite me so much.

What I like about "In The Midlands" chiefly is how it follows that too-fast-grime pattern established by More Fire Crew's "Still The Same", which hasn't really been expanded upon much since then.

nine years pass...

I think I finally have something to share. Can someone recommend a workshop in New York?
