The Neptunes background stuff

These guys own pop. But I just realized that I know almost nothing about them as people. I'm sorta interested in finding out how they started out making music, in which kind of neighborhood they grew up, when & where they met etc. So that's why I'm asking:

Has anybody read any good features on them? Preferably something on-line, but magazines will do as well - I'm sure Rolling Stone must have made one of their standard pieces on them at some point? Anyway, I'd be greatful for anything. Thanks.

That Sasha Frere-Jones piece on the Neps/Timbaland was really good in that respect. Can't be bothered to look up the thread right now.

Pharrell and Shay went to Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, Pharrell met Chad on Summer camp. They formed a band with Timbaland called Surrounded By Idiots. Formed a new team together called The Neptunes, who won a talent show judged by Teddy Riley. Who gave them a break with Pharrell contributing lyrics to two songs on the Wreckx-n-Effect album and Chad blowing the sax on a Blackstreet album. Went on to produce for Ma$e and Total and discovered Kelis (who had sung background on the second Gravediggaz album). And the rest is history. ;-)
