Does she have a new album coming out?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 23:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I dearly hope this beef doesn't escalate into violence.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, but I spelled her name wrong, either way.

I pick Hillary, though, if there's ever a catfight.

But I think Avril could totally beat up Maroon 5 (who I otherwise have no opinion about, which is starting to bug me for some reason.)

chuck, Wednesday, 17 March 2004 23:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Anyone see Avril's high school yearbook photos? I think she should pipe the fuck down.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Alex wins.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

haha I remember how before they became friends Kelly Osbourne was giving shit to Avril for having a crush on Johnny Rzeznizkz, which made her an undeniable non-punk. Plus Avril has openly admitted that it was the rawk glory of Matchbox 20 that made her first pick up the guitar.

I'll take all these folks over Maroon 5.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

The "Complicated" pseudo punker, who's out promoting "Under My Skin," the follow-up to her blockbuster debut, "Let Go," admits she's never met the "Lizzie Maguire" starlet, who is currently feuding with fellow teen queen Lindsay Lohan (the bad blood began after both dated non-threatening pop pin-up Aaron Carter).

There's an episode of Hollywood Squares circa 2007 in that sentence.

m.e.a. (m.e.a.), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

But I think Avril could totally beat up Maroon 5 (who I otherwise have no opinion about, which is starting to bug me for some reason.)

CHUCK I COMMAND YOU TO HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT MAROON 5 IMMEDIATELY!

(it's your job!)

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I found it exceptionally easy to have an opinion about Maroon 5 after the first few notes of "Harder To Breate." They sucked.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I have to assume Aaron Carter is really threatening to pedophiles. He's like that kid with the long hair in If....

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw an interview w/Aaron Carter on ET or Extra or one of those shows....he's suing his mother for apparently stealing money from him....I felt bad for him. He seemed very fragile and yet trying to act kinda tough in that sad little young teenage boy way.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Maroon 5 have been incorportated into little jigs I do to infuriate people - I sing the "She said...Goodbye..." with the tiny skinny-boy byebye wave in the video, constantly. Otherwise I just sing out the "voice inside maaayeeehhhhhd" thing from the Blink song, or sometimes I just materialize upsidedown from the ceiling with no shirt on.

Le Coq, Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

is it wrong that the first thing i thought of when i saw this was some sort of slash

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:15 (twenty-two years ago)

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:15 (twenty-two years ago)

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm sure tad would volunteer for the job

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:18 (twenty-two years ago)

we need to quash this feud, lest the teen pop-rawk scene has their own version of biggie and tupac.

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:21 (twenty-two years ago)

why exactly would teen-pop bloodshed be a bad thing?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Because then there'd be a creepy postmortem Avril/Hilary duet all over the radio.

m.e.a. (m.e.a.), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I would pay a lot of money to see this fight played out with a medieval weapon of some sort, and in, err, "evening gowns"

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Because then there'd be a creepy postmortem Avril/Hilary duet all over the radio.

Sébastien Chikara (Sébastien Chikara), Thursday, 18 March 2004 05:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I like it when things happen in real life that could be taken verbatim and be made into SNL skits.

David Allen (David Allen), Thursday, 18 March 2004 05:59 (twenty-two years ago)

here comes la gigne again! oh woah oh! the end is near again!

Sébastien Chikara (Sébastien Chikara), Thursday, 18 March 2004 06:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Mitchell (Mitchell), Thursday, 18 March 2004 21:57 (twenty-two years ago)

okay have you guys not started a thread about the new avril song yet?

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 18 March 2004 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

"I saw an interview w/Aaron Carter on ET or Extra or one of those shows....he's suing his mother for apparently stealing money from him....I felt bad for him. He seemed very fragile and yet trying to act kinda tough in that sad little young teenage boy way."

A friend and I listened to his sisters' Aaron Carter single, and there was an interview with him as the last track. He goes on to say that he never wanted to be a performer - he wanted to be a marine biologist, but his family puched him into it. Which is kind of sad.

Sasha (sgh), Friday, 19 March 2004 00:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, Aaron

"Does she have a new album coming out?"

Haha, album "beefs" have now moved to girl-pop music.

I wonder when the first drive-by will happen.

uh (eetface), Friday, 7 May 2004 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

does britney really advocate "sex at first sight"?

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Friday, 7 May 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

only from the back...but then I guess there'd be no sight involved...

uh (eetface), Friday, 7 May 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

TWEEN AND TEEN GIRLS SHOULD LISTEN TO AVRIL.S NEW ALBUM, AN ALTERNATIVE TO MUSIC THAT ERODES PERSONAL, TRADITIONAL VALUES.

GET TO THA' (PRICE) CHOPPA!!!!!!!! ROFFLE!!!!!!!! (ex machina), Friday, 7 May 2004 23:45 (twenty-one years ago)

It's Friday night, shouldn't you be out burning down buildings and recording the flames?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 7 May 2004 23:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, I found a firefighter training facility last night. They have a while airplane, a train and like 30 buildings just sitting out in the middle of this huge paved area. AMAZING.
