i've been listening to blueprint, the song not the album. i remembered it more as the mtv unplugged version, and this reminds me how dope the production is, how the beat drops out replaced by the kitchen table beat
the images in the blueprint are earnest than any rap before it without being too corny. jay z is the miles davis of rap.

The beat doesn't really stand out among all those other great tracks, but I did go back and appreciate how good it is after hearing Anthony Hamilton use it.
