I must say, at this stage in his career, I really have no idea what this album will sound like.

RELEASED ON 4/20 DEWD

He should duet Ezra Pound passages with Mel Gibson.

haha wow I didn't even notice that. If Prince weren't a completely uptight tee-totalling Jehovah's Witness I might read somethin into that... but apart from what I'm sure will be at least one or two attempts at r&b chartmaking singles, it's hard to guess what else will be on this album.

Based on the song he played on Jay Leno a few weeks ago, I ain't too excited. Sounded just like "The Work" on Rainbow Children.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Wednesday, 24 March 2004 23:58 (twenty-two years ago)

but that was like the only good song on that album!

I'd really really like for him to make a total poptastic comeback and have a huge hit. dunno if it's in the cards, though.

Coming off Rock n Roll hall of fame, if Prince plays his cards right I think he might have a chance at some sort of comeback. Maybe he can play to the college kid Outkast set? Maybe? Who knows.

David Allen (David Allen), Thursday, 25 March 2004 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

He still *looks* cool and plays fantastically, I just dunno if he's really interesting in writing the kind of song that sticks on the charts these days. It's hard to imagine him not purposefully sticking something clunky and out-of-place in there (probably a rap about Jesus), even if he could work up some crazy pop-funk single.

"interested"
