because sometimes you know an album had a lot of hits, but have no idea which one was the first single or the second, etc.

ones I've always wondered about:

Van Halen - 1984
The Cars - s/t
The Who - Who's Next

Van Halen (US):

Jump
I'll Wait
Panama
Hot For Teacher

Cars (US):

Just What I Needed
My Best Friend's Girl
Good Times Roll

Who (UK):

Won't Get Fooled Again
Behind Blue Eyes (US single only)

thanks! are those all for the Cars and Who albums, though? were "Bye Bye Love" and "You're All I've Got Tonight" and "Baba O'Riley" and "Bargain", etc. officially released as singles or are they just radio staples?

The Who is right. "Baba" was never a single to my knowledge.

Well, maybe that's another thread. Great classic rock single that were never singles, like "Stairway to Heaven."
