i refuse to do that knucklehead fIREHOSE thing to their name. i mean, it's a c, and thats a decent transition to a cap l i guess, but guys, come on. the wire says something like "even hiphop has a silver lining" or something. is that an ice joke, noting that they're really, really white, or is it saying they're actually one of the few good (or maybe idm twat-friendly) hip hop acts out? i didn't buy it or read the article because their print is too small, but does the wire actually discard cool rap and like this shit? actually i only heard those 7 inches once, and i like the one why? line i can remember off his album "i always wanted to be the voice of the streets / but my father was a rabbi and my mother made beats / i mean books / and the kids on the streets always gave me dirty looks" that was like the first line, then the rest of the album was abt stuff like getting shot in your wing riding a bike. WTF anyway if anyone's read it y'all niggas should tell me what the wires op is in five words or less, btw that magazine costs 8 dollars here, and i kind of dig it, and i'd buy it if it came in large print

Wire opinion is: these guys are geniuses.

Alex's opinion is: these guys are irritating.

there may have been a time when dose one was putting out stuff vaguely resembling rap records but aren't these guys more or less morr music + spoken word now? it just seems rather absurd, they could release a notwist record next and suddenly oh shit making innovative moves for hip hop there...

The only song I've heard of theirs is that Boards of Canada remix and it's really catchy.

Can't stop the 'bum' rush?

Dare, Friday, 26 March 2004 01:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd probably like them a lot more if they never opened their mouths on their records.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:08 (twenty-two years ago)

or if they were boards of canada

scissors (Honda), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha yeah I'd love them then.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:14 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a good attempt at a Gareth photo, yes. But it lacks that certain fuzziness.

And none of the buildings are leaning precariously to one side. But the cloudhead, Ned, THE CLOUDHEAD!
