Just about the only time I really like rnb singing on a hip hop track is Sleepy Brown and sometimes Nate Dogg. and the Delfonics on Ironman. Whereas I could cite reggae singer/deejay combos that I've like til the cows come home.

how do you draw the line between rnb singing on a hip hop track and hip hop mcing on an rnb track??

because then this question becomes jamaican music late 70s - early 80s vs 90s and beyond american urban music. and obviously american music wins there.

but if you're boiling it down to rnb singing over hiphop tracks then i'm with oops. that would be ruling out too many timbaland productions, neptunes productions, ja rule tracks, etc.

i guess the difference would be that the on the latter, the singer does at least one verse, as opposed to just singing the hook/chorus
