Buy an oversized jumper with a hole in the front, stick Slacker on the VHS and break out the Betty Blue poster.

Buy their other records?

wear an asshat, asshat

Would you like me to come over and beat it up for you? I can't be too difficult to overpower Today, I mean, after all, it's friggin GALAXIE 500. Or maybe slash its tires instead?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 28 March 2004 13:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks MD... I was thinkin' the same thing. Man, if you can't take a record as wimpy as "Today" mano a mano, then you better stick to Gilbert O'Sullivan or Poco.

OK, things are better now, I'm hearing it for the third time today (no pun intended) and I'm finally putting up a good fight for myself.

maybe you should just change your style?

wait, that's This is Our Music.

I think On Fire is the best.

t.i.o.m is and will always be my favourite, but they're like children really, i love them pretty much equally

best track on Today = "crazy" (god only knows why it was left off the original album)

the surface noise (electricsound), Monday, 29 March 2004 02:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Today best, but I can't really say it ever kicked my ass. It more gently washed over me.

over your ass?

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 29 March 2004 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

like a bidet?

I think the album's kinda funny. Dean Wareham sounds like a total doink on it. On Fire is the one I'm keeping (though I haven't heard This Is Our Music in its entirety - just "4th Of July," which may be a sentimental favorite thanks to tussin).

On Fire's less monochromatic. slightly.

The gentle cleansing soap washed over my ass.
