Classic, esp. when sampled by Large Professor for "Just a Friendly Game of Baseball"

They're the first Pillar of Soul, you know Roger.. I haven't heard much but I've liked what I have heard. Someone should Search and Destroy, too

There was a great 2cd set called Rated X By An All White Jury that had 3 70s lps by him. Monologues over some awesome funky music by uncredited musicians. Would really like to know who they were.
There was an edition of Motorpsycho that had his history in, unfortunately my copy disappeared. Would love another.
Saw him in Dublin just before the milenium. There was a spoken word festival that also featured Nick Cave.

Actually the first lp compiled on that is Brer Soul which appears to be from 1968,. It has the next 2 actual lps by MVP too Ain't Supposed to Die A Natural Death and As Serious As A heart Attack.
MVP did the film Watermelon man with a strk lp in 1970.

& rateyourmusic has the compilation listed as X-Rated By An All White Hury but I think it is Rated X. It was also the name of a stage play I think and you see MVP in a tshirt with the title on on one of the covers.

I think a reissue label has put out a couple of the lps after the 3 compiled on there since that compilation. Think I've seen them advertised anyway. But that compilation is really worth picking up if you get the chance.
