Which artists could render hilarious their old songs by covering them now?

Well, Bonnie Prince Billy felt the need to re-interpret old Palace Brothers tracks with mixed results (see other thread) but which artists could gloriously fail in the same task? (ie doing cover versions of their own material). I guess anyone who's been to a re-union gig could answer this one. How about Jesus and Mary Chain covering Psycho Candy in an acoustic vein? Or a grown-up George Michael re-interpreting Club Tropicana. Actually, these sound quite appealling. There must be worse ones......?

This travesty unfolds many times a year, as Sir Paul continues running through the Beatles catalogue in his wavering and increasingly effeminate current voice. Not to mention the Beach Boys doing "Wouldn't It Be Nice" ("...if we were older").
