Tell me sum good record-stores in N.Y.,where i can find real hip hop-music,cd´s,vinyls...etc.I love graffiti too,so any tips for that...? Where is good clubs where local bands have gigs? I´ve been in New York once,a year ago,but only recordstores that i knew,were Tower and Virgin.

Also see Beat Steet: 494 Fulton Street btwn Bond St and Elm Pl, Bklyn (if its still there), they have a huge basement.

Get Time Out New York for the week you're there, to sort you out clubs wise.

When I went to Fat Beats, Neek The Exotic did an instore freestyle session for about an hour which was cool.

sengai is talking about what used to be the Fun Factory and is now called Five Points I think, accross/down the street from PS1, and last I checked a few months ago it was still good.

Beat Street is still there.

And the best record store in NYC:

Rock and Soul, 7th Ave btw 35th and 36th in money makin' manhattan, accross from money makin' macy's.

Best vinyl is 1) Rock and Soul; 2) Beat Street (in Brooklyn); 3) Fat Beats

If you want new releases on cd for cheap try Disc-O-Rama on W.4th St btwn. 6th Ave/Varick St.
or
Sounds on St.Marks Place btwn. 2nd/3rd Avenue.

There's about 5 cd shops on St. Marks that sell used Hip Hop cd's. If you feel like diggin' you might find some nice shit for cheap.
