Billy Joel, "All About Soul" [playing at the coffeeshop I'm in right now]
Annie Lennox & Aretha Franklin, "Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves" [worst record ever made that isn't "Dear Mr. Jesus," manages to be playing EVERY SINGLE TIME I eat happy hour cheapies at the McCormick & Schmick next door to my office]

The Deli/Cafe I work at is owned by a Croatian couple who play muzak with house beat versions of old Croation folk songs constantly - they only have a couple of CDs so repetition is major factor in the cafe's high turnover of staff.

I just heard Janet Jackson's "Escapade" followed by Justin Timberlake's "Senorita," about what a sensitive guy Justin is. Um, nice, gag.

Make your own coffee shop music.

The starbucks my friend worked at had a locked CD player. I was always loaded with CDs given to the store by Starbucks HQ.
