Rubbish B-Sides Search / Destroy

Umm, OK this is going to confuse some people...

Now, whatever you think of Oasis, I think everyone will agree that their b-sides are as good as their a-sides. (OK, you there who hate oasis, you dont think the b-sides are worse, just "as bad")

Anyhow, what about the b-sides that are made purely as filler, but actually manage to be something quite interesting? Or try and fail? Or Don't try and fail anyway? (god, I dunno..)

Fer instance, I always quite liked the b-side to Roxy Music - Pyjamarama, "The Pride and the Pain", a bit of sub-morricone nonesense.

(For the sake of swiftness, let's exclude dub/instrumental/PhilSpector bsides...)

Wiseblood Motorslug 12" b-side - Death Rape 2000 .. 10 mins of same 3 or 4 note keyboard motif repeated over and over. absolute waste of space. and the bastards puit it on the cd of the Dirtdish album as an extra track as well. dont think i have ever actually made it all way to the end.

in the purely filler category, Search:

Rick Wakeman - 'Do You Believe in Fairies?'

literally, a product of one of those spent-all-the-advance-on-the-A-side episodes

Worst b-sides ever: those on Blur's Parklife singles. Pointless arrogant studio wankery.

Nirvana's "Moist Vagina" or "MV," the b-side to "All Apologies," is pretty great; the chorus consists of Kurt screaming "Marajuana" over and over again.

Ha ha, the *real* Super-K to thread!

Don't have a B-side? Just record an old backing track through backwards reverb and chuck it on!
