Anderson/Drake - Back Together Again C/D + Confusion

Yeah I like it but chances are you are more eloquent than I am.
I am confused because it is a double CD, yet only one CD has any music on, all eight of the tracks listed on the back, and the other CD is completely silent. WTF?

sorry its fred anderson and hamid drake, released recently on thrill jockey (reissue i think?). great set of sax and drum duets, powerful, challenging, yet melodic, not difficult to enjoy.

sorry its fred anderson and hamid drake

I was imagining the long lost collaboration between Ian Anderson and Nick Drake.

sorry :-(

I was thinking that Jon Anderson and Bob Drake had admitted evil twin status and reintegrated into the same being.

i was thinking that someone would know what i was referring to and answer my thread on topic. even after almost two years of posting here, i am still naive as fuck i guess!

Yeah, I've got it. It's really pleasant. I'm a huge huge fan of Fred's but honestly, this is Drake's disc all the way. It's amazing how this guy, at his age, just continues to get better and better. That's not hyperbole; he always impressed but the higher profile he's attained in the last decade or so really seems to have boosted his abilities even beyond where they were.

Yeah so anyway the deal with the disc is that there is a first, limited edition which contains the second CD. It's supposedly a data CD of quicktime movies of interviews with the two of them and some footage of the recording sessions...

Aaron the thing you forget is that Ned is contractually required to post on every thread/

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 00:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Mm.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 00:19 (twenty-one years ago)

& me I'm only embarrassing myself really

(Jon L), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 00:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, and I said "supposedly a data CD..." up there because honestly I haven't played it yet! Don't take that as any kind of commentary on my enthusiasm for the record itself though; I'm just not a big fan of these kind of movie extra things. It takes me a long time to get around to playing them no matter who the artist is... I'm sure the Fred/Hamid thing is entertaining. In fact maybe I'll pop it in now...

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 00:21 (twenty-one years ago)

so its not blank then? thanks sooo much! drake is really good, but this is the first Cd where i have been bowled over. i like him on some of the pyramid trio stuff, but this is superior.

ned we are releasing you from your contract, with a $2 million signing bonus. you are now free to write only what you want to write. you have earned it sir!!! ;-)

ths nice thing is that the cd was still rather cheap even for 2 discs so you are nt really getting forced into anything...
