can someone concisely explain to me Don Was' place and importance on the pop music landscape? i can seem to pin him down, if you know what i mean.

jeez...Was Not Was were fantastic in their day. This Detroit/NY access of post-P-Funk leftfield disco, with at least two absolute classics, Wheel Me Out and Tell Me That I'm Dreaming. Ze Records/mutant disco, etc. Fun, silly, funky, weird, etc. Also produced Cristina's second or third.
