I have the DVD of the album, the remixes are all on there, arent they?

yup. believe they are the same set of remixes. one point this is being released on their own Placid casual label .. how cool to be a major label band and release stuff on your own side as and when !

The remixes themselves are good. I like the way the structure of each track mostly remains, and it's the instrumentation that's really tampered with. It's no hack job.
The inter-track narration, however, is a big fat dud.

yeah .. the narration is beginning to annoy .. gets in the way .. and agreed re the remixes they do indeed retain the Song.

Narration? what, like "The next remix is by Brave Captain, and is the 'mezcal' mix of Hello Sunshine. Brave Captain is Martin Carr, who once was in the Boo Radleys, and his new album will be out in May. Take it away, Brave Captain" sort of thing?

"funny stuff by a fictitious (or real ??) american exec producer. 'not sure how the band are going to perform this one on stage ' prior to minotaurs shock electro breakdown .. witty .. but is it going to become tiresome by third listen. rhetorical q methink.s

All the little interludes get their own track, which isn't listed on the CD, which is the main reason why it's a pain in the arse. Also it isn't very funny.

The remixes are mostly really good though, spesh Four Tet and Minotaur Shock

weirdly .. just posted Minotaur Shock interview @ ireallylovemusic (q+a section). blatant plug message over. delete if applicable.
