Article response! Finally finished what I started in - urk - January, an alphabetical listen to the entire contents of my hard drive. I had fun - but did you? And what am I going to do now?

Stop posting new threads. You've broken your own rule! ;-)

I've been saying that "Yuko & Hiro" is one of Blur's best songs for ages but no one seemed to agree with me - either that or they just looked at me blankly. I'm glad someone else thinks it's great, anyway. Oh yeah, I thought that the end of album bonus track after it sounded just like one of the "Coin Heaven" pieces of music from Super Mario Bros 3...

Million?

Nah, Google. That'll keep our Mr. Ewing busy in this age of corporate downsizing and mergers. :-)

I always enjoyed it. Light, breezy. It could go on forever & I'd keep reading.

"Coin Heaven" music from Super Mario Bros 3! Oh, the memories!

agreed. (with mark *and* mitch actually.) i always enjoyed reading thousand tom; since i came late to the party, i read the first 7 or 8 installments in one sitting and felt like i hadn't spent any time at all (and that's a compliment, really) but i bet you i could still quote you some things from those pieces. good work.

As far as I can remember, you've done at least two songs from the great escape, why not do it all?!

was that beanie sigel thing directed at me?

ethan, Sunday, 28 October 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Bill - because it's rubbish.

Ethan - yes.

You could fix the typo ("since," not "singe").

maybe in writing about an album you know to be rubbish you can cure those who don't know any better. You can be the serpent in the garden. I don't wanna be naked out there if Damon Albarn is peeping through the bushes.

I always get excited most when a Teardrop Explodes mp3 pops up in the writing for Thousand. That was one fun Death March of a snap judgement glance on pop songs.
